Slow broadband in the UK hurting the business growth.

Business leaders are warning that there is rising concern that London’s slow broadband speeds are negatively impacting business growth.

London has the reputation as city for digital start ups. In a swipe at the Government’s policy of rolling out improvements in rural areas first, it said: ‘Very high bandwidth and work leading speeds in remote corners of the UK will never have the same positive dynamic impact as in a concentrated bustling city centre with thriving digital businesses.

‘So it has to be a concern that London, Europe’s biggest city by almost all economic measures and key driver of the economy, has such a poor ranking compared to other capital cities.’
